Dry and tired eyes can often be relieved by applying eye drops. However, some people are not good at applying them. This study proposes a system that enables the automatic application of eye drops during gameplay. By exploiting the engaging characteristics of games, this system aims to reduce the psychological burden on users by administering eye drops during game play. Furthermore, a user study was conducted using three different game designs with different eye drop timing to investigate the psychological impact of the eye drop application during gameplay. The study showed that the degree of comfort or discomfort experienced by players varied depending on the game design and suggested that the use of games may help to distract attention from the act of applying eye drops, thereby reducing the psychological burden and exploring the potential of turning eye drops into an entertaining experience.
