DSM is progressively employed to balance supply and demand and enhance the reliability of the smart grid by resolving the existing grid constraints. In this chapter, a new methodology based on artificial and computer science techniques is proposed to solve the cooperative energy demand planning. In the proposed approach, blockchain-based DSM is investigated to coordinate energy demand, usage and supply in large scale smart buildings. Distributed registers record the energy exchange data collected from smart metering devices while ensuring programs pre-defined smart contracts.
