The aim of this paper is to analyze the behavior of a 24-layer aramid fabric, 1/1 type aramid panel under projectile impact and to examine how the variation of the aramid yarn yield strength can influence the results of ballistic impact. The numerical simulations allow for a detailed analysis of these influences, thus providing important data for the development of more effective protective materials and the optimization of flexible panels for impact resistance. To gain a clear insight into how variations in aramid yarn yield strength influence the behavior of the textile panel during impact with a 9 mm FMJ projectile, we performed simulations for 11 different values of aramid yarn yield strength.
