Digital Technologies and the Future of Circular Economy: AI, Blockchain, and IoT in Sustainable Global Trade
摘要
As the world moves beyond simple production practices, great importance is placed on building systems that preserve and use resources more efficiently. This chapter explains the role that digital advances play in helping the world adopt more sustainable modes of trade using circular economy principles. The chapter looks at how new technologies are influencing ways of doing business to promote circularity on a global scale. It focuses on how artificial intelligence supports efforts to predict results, reduce waste, and enhance manufacturing intelligence. Blockchain allows for more reliable and responsible monitoring of how products and materials are used and stored. The chapter highlights how the Internet of Things supports the use of smart sensors and digital simulation environments to keep track of materials, monitor energy, and recover goods once they are not needed [1]. They form the core elements of global strategies aimed at recycling resources. This study takes an analytical path by considering case studies and scholarly works to produce a roadmap for adding digital solutions to models of circular economy that support sustainable trade all around the globe. It points out several problems that are ongoing, including inadequate digital infrastructure, complicated and scattered regulations, and data security & governance issues. Overcoming these challenges is necessary to make the most of digital advancements in promoting a circular economic transition that benefits everyone.
