This paper is an overview of the first life cycle and about to initiate second life cycle of Bread Wrapping Machine. The stages related to developments and downfall in wax paper wrapping of sliced bread loaf during Industry 2.0 are described. Main focus is on the use of theoretical concepts for improving mechanical drive elements like Geneva wheel. Reader is introduced to concepts of curvature theory like Inflection Circle, Circling Point Curve and Ball's Point along with their use in development of improved wrapping machines. Inherent limitations of these elements and difficulty in adapting to evolving product range are considered as primary reasons for emergence of Mechatronic solution of the problem on hand. Stepper motor as a substitute for Geneva mechanism to deliver intermittent output motion is discussed. As the second life cycle of Bread Wrapping Machine is in the offing, importance of revisiting the problems and solutions provided are expected to lead to a more sustainable and user-friendly version is stressed upon.
