This chapter introduces the concept of e-mentoring, which can be used as an alternative or supplement to face-to-face mentoring during the development of new teachers. The advantages of e-mentoring are emphasized, based on the mentoring relationships transformed by ICT and some limitations of face-to-face mentoring. How a formal e-mentoring program should be organized to support the professional and psychosocial development of new teachers is explained with a focus on a model considered to be guiding in this regard. What should be done during an e-mentoring program is explained step-by-step, and suggestions are proposed regarding roles and responsibilities, mentor–mentee pairing, interaction, scope of activities, and evaluation.
