In this paper, we analyze the performance of the Radon Transform (RT) and the Scale-Space Radon Transform (SSRT) in the context of X-ray computed tomography (CT). The comparison focuses on the quality of reconstructed images, evaluated using the Structural Similarity Index (SSIM) and blur. We investigate the influence of key parameters, including the number of X-rays, the number of beams, and the levels of Poisson and Gaussian noise. Using the ASTRA Toolbox, we create digital twins based on RT and SSRT to carry out the analysis. The findings obtained with digital objects clearly demonstrate the superiority of SSRT for CT applications.

摘要
