This chapter presents a corpus-based analysis of legal language, focusing on elements of legalese and instances of sexism and gender bias within three diachronic legal corpora: CHELAR, BLaRC and BoLC. The following tables systematically display both the legalese features and instances of sexist language discussed in the previous chapter. To enable a more detailed analysis, these elements are categorised according to their linguistic and thematic characteristics, facilitating clearer comparison and interpretation across the three corpora. Legal terms, phrases and examples of gender-biased language are organised alphabetically, with their occurrences in each corpus shown as both numerical values (“no.” columns) and frequencies per million tokens (“freq. pmT” columns).

摘要
