Digital Literacy Against Disinformation: Vital Pedagogical Practice for All of Us, Forever
摘要
The new information and communication technologies are changing society from an economic, social, and political point of view. Infinite opportunities are offered through these technologies which, in turn, become an integral part of our daily lives. Citizens need to be digitally literate to know how to use and take advantage of them. This chapter presents the “State of the Art” on the definition of “digital literacy” using bibliographic reviews published in recent years on the subject. It notes that the studies made on “digital literacy” between 2020 and 2025 do not associate this pedagogical practice as one of the ways to fight disinformation. It highlights the role that the critical and creative use of information obtained and shared in digital media can play in fighting health disinformation on the Internet. It proposes that “digital literacy” becomes a permanent pedagogical practice, as it is necessary and vital for all of us, throughout our lives.
