Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure: Status, Challenges and Future Directions
摘要
Electric vehicles (EVs) have become increasingly popular, which has brought attention to the necessity of a reliable and practical infrastructure for EV charging in order to facilitate EV use. The present condition of EV charging infrastructure is examined in this paper, with particular attention paid to its technologies, regional coverage, and related difficulties. Although fast charging and wireless technologies have made charging more easily, infrastructure availability disparities between urban and rural areas still exist, which hinders the seamless adoption of EVs. Some of the primary challenges include high installation costs, grid capacity constraints, interoperability issues, and the need for standardization. Additionally, the study examines innovative methods for enhancing the scalability and sustainability of charging networks, through the analysis of case studies and current data, this article offers practical insights and suggestions for urban planners, business representatives, and legislators to fill in infrastructure deficiencies and fasten the shift to e-mobility.
