Trends and Patterns in Mobile Banking Adoption: A Bibliometric Approach
摘要
Mobile banking (M-banking) has improved convenience, accessibility, and efficiency in financial services. However, research on its adoption remains fragmented, with gaps in global implementation, security risks, and regulatory challenges, particularly in developing economies. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis to explore research trends, key contributors, and thematic focus areas in M-banking adoption. It aims to track research evolution, identify leading contributors, determine dominant document types, and highlight key factors influencing adoption and future trends. A bibliometric analysis was conducted using Scopus and VOSviewer. Research on mobile banking has shown significant growth, particularly post-pandemic, reflecting increasing academic interest. India, Malaysia, and the U.S. lead research contributions, followed by China, Indonesia, and Saudi Arabia. Journal articles dominate, followed by conference papers and book chapters, while few reviews indicate a lack of comprehensive knowledge consolidation. Key themes include “Mobile Banking,” “Technology Acceptance Model,” and “Trust,” highlighting user behavior, security concerns, and AI integration as central topics.
