Prospects and Recommendations for the Future
摘要
This final chapter outlines possible futures for the integration of instant messaging tools into multilateral diplomacy. Drawing on the study’s findings, it proposes actionable recommendations to optimize WhatsApp use in diplomatic contexts while minimizing risks. These include creating internal protocols for message management, investing in cybersecurity, and training diplomats in digital communication. The chapter also suggests hybrid approaches that blend traditional face-to-face diplomacy with digital practices. Special emphasis is placed on inclusivity, suggesting measures to prevent marginalization of less-connected delegates. It explores the role of artificial intelligence in supporting digital diplomacy and considers how tools like automated translation and moderation may enhance communication. The chapter concludes with a reflection on the necessity for multilateral institutions to adapt to technological changes while preserving diplomatic norms, accountability, and human-centered dialogue.
