Artificial intelligence (AI) and big data analytics join forces to reconfigure the framework of sports performance with health management practices. Systems for monitoring player health pre-match assessments, in-competition evaluations, and post-match examinations remain essential for maintaining physical preparedness while avoiding injuries in team sport activities. As this narrative review studies how these technologies affect both player health administration and sports performance maximum functioning during competition. The research explores innovative methods which promote data-based player health management decisions to support athletic readiness while protecting players from injuries. This work examines the role of innovative tools and systems in promoting data-driven decision support for player health management thereby ensuring athlete protection alongside physical preparedness. A comprehensive review of scientific literature was conducted across multiple databases, focusing on studies addressing health data collection, wearable technologies, and AI applications in player monitoring. Boolean search strategies and predefined inclusion criteria were applied to select and analyze relevant research. Findings reveal that wearable devices and AI-powered platforms significantly enhance the ability to track real-time physiological and biomechanical metrics, facilitating tailored training regimens and early injury detection. However, challenges such as data privacy concerns and integration complexities remain prevalent. The study demonstrates how advancements in sports technology can radically transform clinical practices through precise obtainable approaches to personalized athlete healthcare management. The findings deliver important recommendations which help practitioners and stakeholders build better sporting performance with improved athlete mental health outcomes.
