Cloud computing has revolutionized the way that data is stored, shared, and processed. All services and functionalities of cloud computing fundamentally revolve around data and its management. Therefore, it is essential to have a comprehensive model that enables us to understand the data trajectory within the cloud, especially regarding security and confidentiality as data progresses through various stages. By synthesizing existing models, we aim to develop a more unified model adapted to cloud environments. In this work, we propose a comprehensive data lifecycle model that addresses the key characteristics of cloud computing. The results demonstrate that this model not only enhances the understanding of data flow in the cloud but also serves as a foundation for implementing targeted solutions at specific stages of the data lifecycle. This research seeks to enhance overall system efficiency, reduce time and energy consumption, and foster a more secure, privacy-focused cloud computing environment.
