The previous chapter discussed the ways in which a song’s content can relate to the film it is in/the content of a pop songPop song is added to and used by the different films. In “Reality” I discussed how the “content” of the song and the plot of the story were synthesized to create a clearer and more “touching” scene for the audience from the two dimensions of sound and image. In addition, the chapter discussed the reason why a song is able to move people, specifically how it reaches emotional communication with the audience and resonates; the role of songs in the film is not only for the creation of aesthetic or realistic scenes but for emotional engagement.
