Biomolecular sensing devices have gained significant appeal as a means of gathering proof of concept data due to their exceptional selectivity and sensitivity. Point-of-care (POC) biosensing combined with artificial intelligence (AI) and IoT (Internet of Things) has the potential to completely transform diagnostic techniques by providing quick, precise, and easily accessible health evaluation at the patient level. By delivering advanced diagnostic abilities straight to the patient at home, in the field, or by their bedside, POC bioanalysis is continuing to transform patient care. Numerous sensing techniques make these systems possible, providing sensitive and precise information quickly without the need for testing that is centralized. This chapter thoroughly and critically examines the role and significance of AI and IoT in enhancing the functionality, detection precision, decision-making capacity, and assessment of various bio molecular sensing devices. Recent advances of AI in enhancing the functionality of Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) and POC devices utilized in state-of-the-art medical domains like diabetes treatment, cancer detection, and cardiac assessment is also covered in this review.
