Liposuction has evolved from a cosmetic procedure into a key source of regenerative material, especially adipose-derived stem cells. Traditionally, the abdomen has been the preferred harvesting site; however, recent studies reveal that alternative areas, such as the thighs and flanks, provide similar cell viability, quality, and composition. This challenges established beliefs, allowing for a personalized approach to selecting harvesting sites based on patient needs. Future research will enhance these practices by concentrating on patient-specific factors and optimizing regenerative applications.

摘要

Liposuction has evolved from a cosmetic procedure into a key source of regenerative material, especially adipose-derived stem cells. Traditionally, the abdomen has been the preferred harvesting site; however, recent studies reveal that alternative areas, such as the thighs and flanks, provide similar cell viability, quality, and composition. This challenges established beliefs, allowing for a personalized approach to selecting harvesting sites based on patient needs. Future research will enhance these practices by concentrating on patient-specific factors and optimizing regenerative applications.
