Nicolae Iorga and the Jews: On How the “Hydra” Became Our Brother and Then a “Hydra” Again
摘要
This chapter focuses on the image ascribed to the Jewish minority by Nicolae Iorga, one of the most prolific representatives of Romanian culture. We start by examining the identity framework suggested by Iorga, then explore the set of characteristics he links to the Jewish community and their associated social roles. Finally, we will analyze the political strategies proposed by Iorga to tackle the so-called Jewish problem.
