Smart Diaper System: An IoT-Enabled Solution for Real-Time Urine Detection and Patient Monitoring

The proliferation of connected devices and wearables has led to innovative solutions addressing specific challenges in various domains, including healthcare. Among these, smart diaper systems offer significant potential in improving patient care and streamlining processes in hospitals and healthcare centers. This paper presents the design and implementation of a Smart Diaper system integrating IoT devices, wireless communication, and a user-friendly mobile application. The system addresses the needs of caregivers by providing real-time notifications, detailed monitoring, and an intuitive interface. We explore the system architecture, including sensor integration, ADC conversion, battery optimization, and backend communication. Challenges encountered during development are discussed alongside potential solutions to enhance scalability and reliability. Our findings demonstrate the system’s effectiveness in healthcare settings, highlighting its potential to reduce caregiver burden and improve patient outcomes.
