The intersection of competition law and policy with environmental law has not been thoroughly investigated in Africa, particularly, in Cameroon. Consequently, there is a lack of literature that contextualises this issue. This chapter aims to address this gap by analysing the role of competition law and policy in promoting the right to a healthy environment in Cameroon. The chapter concludes that incorporating this right into competition law in Cameroon is essential. This incorporation is achieved by integrating sustainability principles within competition legislation. To this end, the chapter recommends amending existing competition law to facilitate this inclusion. Furthermore, additional legislative amendments needed to support this agenda are outlined in the chapter.
