The increasing complexity of wood-based supply chains, driven by the need for higher efficiency, sustainability, and resilience, presents significant challenges in adapting to digital transformation. This study explores the application of fuzzy logic-based digital maturity modeling to assess and improve digitalization in wood-based supply chains. The research evaluates the relationship between two key input variables—technology availability and interoperability & collaboration—and their impact on four critical dimensions: business processes, customer support, sustainability goals, and organizational resilience. The fuzzy model identifies maturity levels, from low to high, and assesses how digital technologies contribute to improved operational performance, risk management, and overall supply chain resilience. A case study approach demonstrates how the model can be applied in real-world scenarios, providing insights into digital transformation’s practical challenges and benefits. The results highlight the importance of integrating resilience and sustainability considerations into the digital maturity assessment to ensure robust, secure, and efficient supply chains. This study contributes to the understanding of digital maturity in the wood-based sector. It offers a framework for companies aiming to enhance their digital capabilities and overall performance through targeted interventions.

摘要
