From Organizational Resilience to Supply Chain Resilience - A Comparative Overview
摘要
The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated how important it is to look after not only the efficiency and agility of supply chains but also their resilience. Supply chain resilience is often seen through the lens of the resilience of its participants. However, resilient organizations cannot always create a resilient supply chain. The growing interest in the topic of resilience identifies the need to analyse the consistency of approaches to resilience at the organizational and supply chain levels. A better understanding of these relationships will integrate an internal (organization) and a network (supply chain) perspective. Therefore, this thesis aims to analyse the concept of resilience through an organizational and supply chain lens, particularly identifying key differences and similarities in defining, measuring and building organizational and supply chain resilience. The research conducted was a theoretical study based on a narrative literature review. Based on the knowledge gathered, the main differentiating factors between the two approaches to building resilience were identified, and their commonalities were pointed out. The results supported the thesis of the need for a multidimensional approach to building supply chain resilience and the need to develop a framework for an integrated approach to building resilience at different levels of supply chain management.
