The study presents an analysis of the role of crowdsourcing in the new product development (NPD) process in the context of social product development (SPD). The main objective of the research was to create a conceptual framework defining the possible use of different types of crowdsourcing by manufacturing companies in the individual phases of the NPD. The conducted literature analysis revealed the lack of a coherent model integrating crowdsourcing into all stages of product development. In response to this research gap, a framework was developed that identifies and assigns different types of crowdsourcing and crowdsourcing-related support mechanisms (CRSM), such as gamification or infrastructure sharing, to individual NPD phases. The results indicate that crowdsourcing has the greatest impact on the initial stages of product development, including idea generation, market analysis and concept testing. In the engineering phases, its role is limited, but it can support iterative product improvement. The study highlights the importance of integrating crowdsourcing into the innovation strategies of manufacturing companies.

摘要
