The Mediating Effect of Job Crafting in the Relationship Between Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Its Ethical Implications

The present study analyzes the mediating role of job crafting in the relationship between organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior in hotels. The data analysis was made with a sample of 137 hotel employees from 10 different hotels, PLS-SEM was used to run the different tests to corroborate our hypothesis. Findings proved the mediating effect of job crafting between organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior, as well as the relationship between organizational commitment, organizational citizenship behavior and job crafting. This study contributes to understanding how these variables interact with each other and their effects in the hospitality industry, as well as providing evidence to comprehend ethical behavior in technology-mediated environments, aligning with international frameworks on responsible business conduct.
