Burns and Inhalation Injury
摘要
Overall survival and quality of life for burn patients are highly dependent on early resuscitation, ongoing monitoring, and surgical management. Particular attention is focused on a systematic approach to the initial assessment, airway management, fluid optimization, and wound care. Specialized burn centers and major advancements in therapeutic strategies and burn care have improved outcomes for this population. However, severe burns remain a devastating injury and patients have an extensive recovery process due to the physiologic, physical, and mental consequences of their injury.
