Mesotherapy: Available Products and Their Applications
摘要
Mesotherapy consists of multiple intradermal or subcutaneous injections of a mixture of compounds (plant extracts, homeopathic agents, medicines, vitamins, and other bioactive substances) in minute dosages which are administered utilizing tiny gauge needles. This technique is used to treat medical disorders, primarily those that are localized, as well as cosmetic conditions. The name “meso” may be translated to “middle” and “mean.” This refers to the injection method, which is placed into the middle layer of skin or “intradermotherapy” and the “mean dose” of the medication that is administered, a dose that falls somewhere in the middle of alternative medicine and homeopathy. Mesotherapy is not a treatment for any specific ailment; it is merely a means of medication delivery. It does not refer to any particular therapeutic approach. Mesotherapy is administered into structures derived from mesoderm. Mesoderm ceases to exist beyond the embryonic stage of human development.
