With aging, the superficial part of the skin is first affected, then the skin’s and subcutaneous tissues’ elasticity decreases, and some changes occur due to volume loss in the tissues, especially the fatty tissue. Age, sun exposure, toxins, and metabolic and hormonal disorders mainly affect this process. The resulting wrinkles, sagging, and volume loss are most noticeable in the face and neck area. As a result of extended life expectancy, increased awareness due to social media, and the desire to be liked, people are resorting to cosmetic procedures more frequently. Cosmetic procedures applied to the face can be classified as surgical (face lift-rhytidectomy) and non-surgical applications. Thread suspension, laser, botulinum toxin, and mesotherapy applications are frequently preferred among non-surgical applications. Especially in patients with sagging skin in the face and neck area, thread suspension applications, which do not affect the patient’s daily activities and work life, are minimally invasive and reliable and are becoming increasingly preferred over surgical methods. It can also be applied together with a surgical facelift. However, it should not be considered as an alternative to surgical facelift. The method chosen for facial rejuvenation also affects the severity of the patient’s problems and expectations, the affected areas, the recovery time until returning to daily social activities, and the patient’s economic status.
