Volumizing with Fillers: Lower Face and Mandibular Definition
摘要
The chin and jawline can be augmented with the use of a high G′ filler placed using the bolus technique in the preperiosteal plane posteriorly (mandibular angle) and anteriorly (Menton), which displays proper injection and augmentation of the lateral jawline, showing an augmentation of the chin and mental crease in a female patient. We recommend administering injections in the subcutaneous plane to specific regions of the mandibular ramus or body to avoid damaging vital underlying structures. Furthermore, this method optimizes facial features while providing structural support. For jowl correction, we typically administer injections to the mandibular region. We usually administer these injections deep along the mandibular line’s periosteum and at the mandibular ramus. The massive, square-shaped masseter muscle has deep and superficial components and is located in the mandibular region. Recognizing and avoiding the facial artery located at the anterior border of the masseter muscle is essential. When you clench your jaw, you can feel the facial artery throbbing near the anterior border of the masseter. It is located approximately three centimeters in front of the mandibular angle.
