Ethical decision making is woven into nearly every aspect of applied behavior analysis (ABA) treatment for individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Ethics within ABA are not black and white. A true understanding of the guiding principles, along with careful consideration of each individuals’ circumstances, is needed to help practitioners navigate the grey. The current chapter looks at ethical guidelines within the field and how best to utilize them to inform specific treatment considerations.
