Effective interventions for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) require a well-designed curriculum that considers the individual’s specific needs, desired outcomes, assessment methods, intervention activities, and instructional strategies. However, curriculum development can be a complex and time-consuming process. This chapter explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be used to facilitate curriculum development for ASD interventions. Generative AI, specifically ChatGPT, is presented as a tool that may assist practitioners in various stages of the curriculum development process, including needs assessment, goal setting, assessment selection, lesson planning, and instructional strategy selection. Examples are provided to illustrate how ChatGPT can generate interview questions, surveys, observation forms, and lesson plans, as well as identify evidence-based instructional strategies and create corresponding implementation scenarios. By integrating AI into curriculum development, practitioners may find the process more efficient and effective.

摘要
