The objective of this chapter is to provide guidelines for analyzing the system context to establish a clear understanding of the system’s boundaries and interactions. It covers the analysis of boundary context, functional context, information context, and behavior context. These guidelines enable architects to identify external actors, connected systems, persistent data dependencies, and control flow interactions, thereby ensuring that the architectural design is properly grounded in its operational environment.
