The objective of this chapter is to introduce the Unified Architecture Process (UAP), a structured methodology for designing software architecture that addresses both functional and non-functional requirements. It presents the foundational concepts of UAP, including its process model and supporting instructions, and explains its methodological approach to architecture design.
