The objective of this chapter is to provide guidelines for evaluating the architecture design of a software system. It covers the identification of target elements for evaluation, the selection of appropriate evaluation approaches and methods, and the application of those methods to assess architectural soundness. These guidelines enable architects to systematically analyze architectural decisions, validate their alignment with system requirements, and refine the architecture based on evaluation outcomes.
