Port Governance in Africa: Innovating to Anticipate
摘要
Questioning the governance of organisations makes sense when looking at innovations in the development of logistics and transport in Africa. Indeed, the growing and multiple uncertainties of the global environment are prompting organisations, whether public or private, large, small or medium-sized, to rethink the way they manage and operate. Starting from a theoretical grounding in management science and sociology, this chapter analyses the strengths and weaknesses of inherited governance in Africa. Prospective avenues are suggested as a necessary compromise for a paradigm shift towards participative and inclusive governance of organisations.
