Logistics, Transport and Organization Management: What Model for Development and Innovation?
摘要
This chapter examines development models linked to innovation in the logistics and transport ecosystem in Africa. The qualitative methodology mobilizes the discourse of professionals and academics within the framework of a think tank. These transcribed discourses are analysed in the light of a number of studies on the transport and logistics ecosystem in Africa. This ecosystem is characterized by the establishment of logistics platforms, dry ports and the arrival of international economic operators. Its flexibility contributes to the fluidity of trade in Africa. Nevertheless, the sector remains limited by its capacity to integrate global supply chains. However, the opportunities offered by digital technology are opening up new models of development and innovation for intra-African and international trade. Analysis shows that digital uses for e-commerce/e-marketing in Africa appear to be significant. Indeed, in all major African cities, the urban middle classes are becoming attractive targets, promoters of development models for companies in the sector.
