Green Logistics and Sustainable Transport: A Difficult Innovation at the Heart of Corporate Social Responsibility in Africa
摘要
Innovations are revitalizing the challenges of business competitiveness. These innovations constitute important modern tools for control, management, coordination of distant and nearby activities, transmission of documents and goods, etc. In Africa, the field of transport investigations is generally concerned with infrastructural failures, functional dysfunctions and mobility (Steck 2013). In addition, the African business environment is highly marked by the phenomenon of corruption and uncertainty (CIAN/Le Moci 2019). Some studies show that this institutional weakness is a real obstacle to investment. All these concerns offer opportunities for innovation. The major challenge is to optimise transport/logistics activities in Africa by integrating sustainable development dimensions into transport and logistics innovations. This chapter shows that the conditions for the success of these innovations require a grasp of their added value in each territory and for each activity, but also of the negative impacts of their use (psychological, cultural, environmental impact, etc.).
