Indonesia encountered a total of 3158 earthquakes in the last five years. This study investigates the logistical concerns in impacted areas through the utilization of text-mining spanning from 2014 to 2024; there are a total of 34,745 tweets that pertain to earthquakes and 18,213 tweets specifically mentioning logistic needs, mostly situated in East Nusa Tenggara, East Java, North Sulawesi, and the Special Region of Yogyakarta, emphasizing the need for water, food, and blankets. Despite located at the meeting point of several tectonic plates, those regions were the most populated provinces with a density of more than 100 per square kilometer, with 49.5% of the Indonesian population were aged 18–44, which Twitter ranks 6th most popular social media in the use rate of 60.2%. Hence, we recommend that government and non-profit organizations utilize social media communication to establish efficient logistical storage and distribution, formulate contingency planning, and increase disaster literacy.
