Integrative Transdisciplinarity
摘要
Integrative Transdisciplinarity (ITD) is an approach to inquiry that emphasizes complexity, creativity, and the integration of the inquirer. It critiques the Cartesian-Newtonian “paradigm of simplification” that created the foundation for scientific inquiry and its strategy of elimination. The “paradigm of complexity,” proposes an approach to inquiry that views the world as interconnected, interdependent, and dynamic, draws on the full humanity of the inquirer (including creativity, feelings, intuition, etc.) and integrates context, values, and diverse knowledge traditions to address complex global challenges.
