Thermofluctuation Motion of Dressed Dislocations
摘要
In this chapter, we analyze the thermofluctuational motion of a single dislocation segment under an external load bypassing a solitary point-like defect in the temperature range near the first-order phase transition. We demonstrate that the formation of the process zone around the dislocation affects the characteristics of this process. In particular, the nature of the motion may shift from being activation-based to non-activation-based. Further, we examine changes in the smooth kink motion associated with the formation of the process zone.
