This chapter presents carbon (C) farming as a practical and powerful climate solution that helps transform agriculture into part of the answer to climate change. Using the four ‘C’ approach (Capture, Convert, Conserve, and Cultivate), C farming focuses on capturing C from the atmosphere and storing it in plants, soils, and ecosystems. The chapter explains how healthy soils, diverse vegetation, and improved land management can work together to store more C, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and strengthen the land’s natural resilience.
