Gesture complexity
摘要
In the final episode of season 4 of the American television series Breaking Bad (no spoilers), the character Hector Salamanca, played by actor Mark Margolis, makes use of a physical alphabet/letter board to construct a message in collaboration with a caregiver, who serves as a communication partner. Hector, a recurring character in the series, is confined to a wheelchair and can neither speak nor write with a pen nor type with a conventional keyboard. Instead, he communicates by means of a single call bell, similar to what one finds at reception desks of hotels to request attention, which he can tap with an index finger to produce a chime.
