Robotic Ivor Lewis Esophagectomy
摘要
Robotic thoracic surgery has been increasingly adopted due to its articulating instruments, improved visualization, and better ergonomics. This has helped surgeons transition from open to minimally invasive surgery or increase complexity in minimally invasive procedures. Robotic assisted minimally invasive esophagectomy (RAMIE) faces challenges due to a steep learning curve. However, as more surgeons are trained, the benefits of RAMIE for both patients and surgeons will become clearer. This chapter covers the Robotic Assisted Ivor Lewis esophagectomy technique.
