Esophageal cancer continues to have a high prevalence and incidence worldwide. Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is an effective treatment modality for superficial esophageal cancers and offers an advantage over traditional endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) in determining histopathologic assessment. In this chapter, we describe each step of minimally invasive ESD for esophageal neoplasms with intraoperative endoscopic images.

摘要

Esophageal cancer continues to have a high prevalence and incidence worldwide. Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is an effective treatment modality for superficial esophageal cancers and offers an advantage over traditional endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) in determining histopathologic assessment. In this chapter, we describe each step of minimally invasive ESD for esophageal neoplasms with intraoperative endoscopic images.
