Precision medicine has revolutionized the field of healthcare by tailoring treatments to individual patients based on their unique genetic makeup and disease characteristics. This review paper explores the pivotal role of next-generation sequencing (NGS) and tumor markers in advancing precision medicine, with a particular focus on early cancer detection and personalized treatment. We discuss key milestones in the development of precision medicine, highlighting the transformative impact it has had on patient care.
