Recently, the landscape of pediatric cancer immunotherapy shows a dramatic shift in the last decade. Although many cancer immunotherapeutic agents obtained FDA approval to be used in pediatric cancer patients, but the field of pediatric cancer immunotherapy is still in its infancy. Also, many types of immunotherapies are under investigation as pediatric cancer treatment either alone or in combination. This chapter will give an overview about the different types of cancer immunotherapy and the FDA-approved immunotherapies for pediatric cancer patients. Moreover, it will demonstrate some examples of the experimental immunotherapeutic approaches for pediatric cancer patients. As pediatric cancer has unique set of challenges, this chapter will discuss the regulatory changes that have been made in many countries to encourage the development of cancer immunotherapies in pediatric cancer patients. In addition, some special issues in the pathway of developing pediatric cancer immunotherapy drugs have been suggested to accelerate the advancement of this field.
