The conclusion will revolve around the issues of state autonomy and COVID-19, conscription and state power beyond the state apparatus during the pandemic, and the issue of sovereignty and the exception from a Weberian-Foucauldian perspective. I will contextualize my findings internationally along all of these three dimensions. Thereafter, I end the conclusion by reflecting upon the utility of a Weberian-Foucauldian approach to the state, during the pandemic and beyond, considering the lessons of COVID-19 and the call to rethink the state.

摘要

The conclusion will revolve around the issues of state autonomy and COVID-19, conscription and state power beyond the state apparatus during the pandemic, and the issue of sovereignty and the exception from a Weberian-Foucauldian perspective. I will contextualize my findings internationally along all of these three dimensions. Thereafter, I end the conclusion by reflecting upon the utility of a Weberian-Foucauldian approach to the state, during the pandemic and beyond, considering the lessons of COVID-19 and the call to rethink the state.
