Quantum Computing in 5G Communication and Networks

The integration of 5G and quantum computing has the great potential to improve network performance security and overall efficiency in this chapter the feasibility of combining quantum computing with 5G technology is explored for the successful deployment of next-generation wireless communication networks. The chapter begins with an overview of quantum computing followed by the key challenges in the implementation of 5G systems such as spectrum scarcity latency issues and security threats. The chapter also investigates the physical applications of quantum computing such as quantum cryptography network resource optimization and enhanced signal processing. Significant attention is given to topics such as efficient usage of all 5G resources efficient resource management dynamic spectrum access network slicing technology etc. The issues like implementation of quantum algorithms for improving the overall efficiency of the 5G network and its integration with other future technologies have also been explored in the context of the deployment of 6G networks. The chapter provides a comprehensive analysis of the integration of quantum computing to machine the landscape of 5G communication while offering insightful discussion on opportunities and challenges to deal with the successful deployment of networks.
