Obesity
摘要
Body mass index (BMI) is a useful measurement of body fat based on a person's weight and height that can give doctors important information on a patient's health. A BMI of 30 or more is defined as obesity and is a major risk factor for heart disease and diabetes. Maintaining a healthy weight can help reduce these risks by helping lower blood pressure and improve blood sugar levels. Diet and exercise are also important lifestyle practices to help manage weight and decrease bodily inflammation. If weight cannot be managed with traditional lifestyle methods, medications and bariatric surgeries are available. However, practicing healthy lifestyle habits is the most important of all treatments for long-term success.
