Technology Adoption of Low-Income Women Entrepreneurs to Enhance Business Performance
摘要
The effect of technology adoption on the business performance of low-income women entrepreneurs in Malaysia is the focus of the study. It explores two primary questions: how Perceived Usefulness impacts business performance and the effect of Perceived Ease of Use. The study uses a quantitative approach and finds that many low-income women entrepreneurs use technological solutions, namely social media and e-commerce that result in improved business performance. The research also establishes that these entrepreneurs require special policies to assist them because they face substantial issues such as low digital literacy and limited access to technology. The findings, while pertain to Malaysian women entrepreneurs, should be extended to collate cross-cultural similarities and differences to comprehensively understand what impacts outcomes and allows the support of women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
