The extensive use of technology transformed global trade into a new era in which all commercial processes are conducted through digital platforms. Today, e-commerce has become a transformative force that changes the global world; it alters business models and facilitates reaching new markets. In Oman- like other countries worldwide) E-commerce is growing rapidly, supported by the adoption of technology, improved technology infrastructure, reduced transaction costs, and government regulation. This conceptual paper explores the impact of e-commerce on enhancing trade in Oman by analyzing the key variables that contribute to improving efficiency and enhancing the national economy. Technology adoption is an important key for facilitating digital and business transactions, where providing the appropriate technology infrastructure simplifies different trade operations. Moreover, reduced transaction costs can be achieved through adopting innovation and automation, and the government regulation organized the digital trade process, which makes e-commerce a good alternative to traditional trade. This paper provides a conceptual framework that examines the importance of technology adoption and infrastructure, the role of government regulation, and reduced transaction costs in enhancing trade in Oman. Empirical research can focus on the future to explore the impact of these key variables in the Oman trade sector.
